After 25 years of Flamenco guitar experience I developed a clear program designed to allow you understand the codes of flamenco so that you can be an independent flamenco ‘thinker’ as fast as possible.

You will be able to play confidently, to understand all the flamenco Palos, and most important, to enjoy flamenco music while playing.

Frequently Asked Questions

01. How do I pay for the lessons?

Lessons are purchased in packs, starting from 8 lessons. You can begin with a free 20-minute trial session before committing. Payments are made via bank transfer, and full details will be provided after booking.

02. Can I reschedule a lesson?

Yes, you can reschedule your lesson as long as you let us know at least 48h in advance. This allows us to keep the schedule flexible for all students.

03. Do lesson packs expire?

No. Lesson packs are designed to be flexible. You will have plenty of time to use them, so you can learn at your own pace without pressure.

04. What happens if I miss a class?

If you miss a lesson without prior notice, it may be counted as completed. However, we always try to be understanding when possible.

05. What do I need for the lesson?

You only need a guitar, an internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone. No special equipment is required.

06. Are the lessons suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. Lessons are fully adapted to your level, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced player.

07. Do I need a flamenco guitar?

Not necessarily. You can start with a classical guitar and switch to a flamenco guitar later if you wish.

I have known Alvaro for a few years now, first taking a few daily lessons while he was on tour in Canada, then (nominally) weekly via Skype, interspersed with a couple of weeks of daily lessons in Madrid. His approach for me is the traditional listen-to-learn method somewhat adapted for a student from outside the culture with some classical guitar training. The focus is on specific falsetas with some technical and (especially) melodic/rhythmic ideas.
